Applications are not required. Since rooms are single occupancy, it really depends on availability. Simply call Joe to see what is available. |
What is provided? |
Every house includes Wi-Fi, utilities, and a laundry facility. Furnishings are only provided in common areas, but anything in individual rooms must be provided by occupants. Cleaning supplies are also the responsibility of the tenants. Make a plan to communicate with your roommates to coordinate cleaning schedules and supplies. |
Do I really get my own room? |
YES! Joe's House believes that to be able to truly transition and become more independent, a person needs privacy to preserve dignity. Personal space and responsibility are crucial in regaining a healthy and productive life style. |
How much is rent? |
Rent is $600 a month, due on the first of every month. A $100 refundable deposit, plus first month's rent, is due at move-in. |
How do I pay? |
You may pay with cash, money order, CashApp, or at any Idaho Central Credit Union Location or App. Ask Joe for details on this when you first move in. |
Are there extra amenities? |
Each house is under supervision for pest control. If any pest is noticed, this is taken care of right away. Lawn and landscaping are also completely maintained, so there is no need to mow or weed! |
Can I have guests over? |
Yes!!! We believe that family reunification is a very important part of recovery, so we encourage family visitors and close friends. Guests, however, may not stay overnight. |
How much personal, unshared living space will I have? |
The amount of space depends on the bedroom you are placed in. |
Is there a maximum or mimimum amount of time that I can stay? |
No, there is not a set amount of time that you must stay or you are allowed to stay. As long as you are doing well, you are welcome to stay at Joe's House. |
Are others in the house allowed to control my schedule? |
No, you are responsible for maintaining your own schedule. |
Is there a "house" phone available? |
No, there is not a house phone available. |
Do you accept housing assitance funds? |
No, at this time we do not accept housing assistance. |

The communal living areas are furnished, but the bedrooms are yours. You will need to provide furniture for your own living area. |

At this time there is not job placement assistance, but there are some companies that are affiliated with Joe's House. |
Can I get refunded if it does not work out and/or I decide to move? |
Yes, refunds are provided for any days that have been paid for that you are no longer a resident. Any days left in the month after you move out will be refunded. |
